Job Description A respected healthcare system in Syracuse, New York is seeking an experienced Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join its established Hospitalist team as a Full-Time Nocturnist. Position Overview Role: Nocturnist Hospitalist Schedule: 7 PM – 7 AM Rotation: 7 on / 7 off Shift Length: 12 hours Employment Type: Full-Time (Permanent) Location: Syracuse, NY Key Responsibilities - Provide overnight inpatient care and admissions - Perform comprehensive history & physical exams - Manage hospitalized patients throughout the night - Closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients - Monitor and respond to acute changes in condition - Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams - Coordinate follow-up and discharge planning - Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR You will join a respected Hospitalist team within a physician-led governance structure, practicing high-quality, patient-centered inpatient care. Compensation & Benefits - Base Salary: $320,320 annually - $15,000 Starting Bonus - Productivity & Quality Performance Bonuses - $4,500 Annual CME Allowance - Paid Time Away (including CME days) - Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Coverage - Paid Malpractice Insurance (including tail coverage) - 403(b) Retirement Plan with Employer Match - Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) ?
