Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.
Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline:
RN - Start Date: 04/07/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per
week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel
Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 4x12 hour
shifts with day/night rotation from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM
to 7:00 AM • Every other weekend coverage required • Must maintain
1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for Med Surg patients • Floating to other
units required • Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year of experience required • EPIC charting experience
is a hard requirement • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH
Stroke Scale • Must be located more than 75 miles from facility •
Skills include cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team participation • Provide IV
therapy and phlebotomy services including peripheral line care and
management • Respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen face
masks, portable oxygen tanks, and non-invasive airway management •
Maintain isolation precautions and provide wound care including
wound vac management • Care for acute stroke patients and other
neurological disorders as well as acute medical patients • Scrub
color requirement: any combination of navy and white • First time
travelers accepted • Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours
total) Facility: This tertiary care hospital operates 528 staffed
beds and features a specialized 39-bed Acute Stroke Unit that
combines care for acute stroke patients with other neurological
disorders and acute medical conditions. The facility utilizes an
adjustable acuity delivery care model providing evidence-based care
to optimize stroke treatment during primary prevention and acute
care phases. The hospital maintains comprehensive emergency
response capabilities and offers advanced cardiac monitoring and
