Job Description ARMStaffing is seeking a travel Radiology Technician for a travel job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Travel X-Ray Technologist/n/n Location/n New York /n/nAssignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Monday - Friday, Days, on call/callback, holidays per unit needs (5x8hrs). Must be able to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts. /n/nJob Description/n The X-Ray Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before x-ray procedures. /n - Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images as per physicians' orders. /n - Explain x-ray procedures to patients and address their questions. /n - Position patients appropriately, including lifting and moving as necessary. /n - Handle radiologic equipment properly and maintain a low dose to patients. /n - Observe and interpret patients' status to meet age-specific needs. /n - Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by the Radiologist. /n - Notify management of any damaged or malfunctioning x-ray equipment. /n - Utilize electronic patient information systems to verify patient data accurately. /n - Maintain accurate patient records and ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly. /n - Practice the dual patient identifier procedure to ensure safety. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. /n - Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and NYS license (or ability to obtain prior to starting). /n - Minimum of 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience. /n - Level 1 trauma center experience. /n - Experience with c-arm/o-arm in the past 8 months. /n - Recent OR experience required. /n - BLS certification from the American Heart Association. /n - Ability to lift or move patients and stand for extended periods. /n - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. /n - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. /n - A compassionate and patient demeanor, with the ability to work as a team player. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
