Job Description Job Description Self-Direction DSP - Cortland/Homer Area (Job FH-TM) ARISE is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a young man in the Cortland/Homer, NY area. We are looking for a dedicated individual who has experience de?escalating emotional outbursts and is comfortable providing toileting and feeding support. The DSP will assist him in developing social, communication, and life skills both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing support in the home and during community outings Encouraging and assisting him with overall health, safety, and daily living activities Promoting skill building and positive engagement We are seeking individuals who are reliable, patient, enthusiastic, and able to work independently. Reliable transportation is required. A background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be completed prior to hire through the non?profit agency. Hours: Primarily Saturday (morning through evening) and Sunday until 1:00 PM Compensation: $32 per hour ARISE is an Equal Opportunity Employe Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
