Job Description:
At Clean Harbors, we are dedicated to safeguarding the

of services. We are currently seeking a passionate and
detail-oriented Environmental Field Chemist who will play a crucial
role in our on-site projects, including waste characterization,
packaging, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous
waste. This position offers the opportunity to work in diverse
settings and engage directly with various environmental initiatives
designed to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local
regulations and promote sustainability. Conduct chemical analysis
and identification of various waste materials in the field Package,
label, and prepare hazardous and non-hazardous waste for
transportation and disposal Ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, and
OSHA regulations concerning chemical handling and waste disposal
Document field activities and prepare required reports on waste
management processes and environmental compliance Participate in
emergency response teams during environmental accidents or spill
remediation projects Collaborate with environmental scientists,
project managers, and other stakeholders to evaluate the
environmental impact of project activities Provide technical
support and guidance on waste reduction and sustainable waste
management practices Proficiency in using various instruments for
chemical analysis Strong understanding of chemical compositions and
waste management practices Knowledge of environmental regulations
related to hazardous waste disposal and chemical safety Ability to
work effectively in both team and independent settings Strong
organizational and communicational skills Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k HAZWOPER certification (Hazardous
Waste Operations and Emergency Response) preferred Valid driver’s
license as fieldwork may require travel to various sites within the
region
