Paving Materials is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA/QC
Technician to join our team in the Watertown NYN region. The QA/QC
Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and
consistency of our paving materials and products through rigorous
testing and inspection procedures. This position is essential to
maintaining our commitment to quality and safety standards in all
operations. Main Responsibilities Participating actively in company
safety programs, including safety huddles, one-on-one safety
conversations, and reporting of close calls Fostering the safety
culture by making good/safe decisions /n - Conduct regular
inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and
finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and
specifications. /n - Perform various tests on materials, including
aggregates, asphalt, and concrete, using appropriate methods and
equipment. /n - Document and maintain accurate records of testing
results, inspection findings, and quality control measures taken.
/n - Identify any quality issues and work with production and
engineering teams to implement corrective actions. /n - Assist in
the development and refinement of quality control procedures and
standards. /n - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and
best practices while conducting inspections and tests. /n -
Collaborate with other departments to provide support and guidance
on quality-related issues. /n - Participate in audits and
assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of quality control
measures. /n /n Qualifications /n - High school diploma or
equivalent; a degree in a related field (e.g., engineering,
materials science) is preferred. /n - Previous experience in
quality assurance/quality control, preferably in the construction
or paving materials industry. /n - Knowledge of quality control
methodologies, standards, and testing procedures. /n - Strong
analytical skills and attention to detail. /n - Excellent
communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with
team members and other departments. /n - Proficiency in using
testing equipment and software related to quality control. /n -
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. /n /n Physical
Requirements /n - Ability to perform physical tasks, including
lifting materials (up to 50 pounds) and moving around job sites. /n
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions,

with hot mix asphalt, aggregates, or concrete and HS Diploma OR an
Associate's degree in a Manufacturing or similar related field •
NYSDOT QC/QA Certification preferred but not required • Valid
