Job Description:

Upstate Shredding and Weitsman Recycling LLC, a division of Weitsman Family of Companies, the East Coast's Largest Privately Held Scrap Metal Processor, is currently looking for an Office Clerk at our location in Rochester, NY. We also offer paid time off which includes 2 weeks' Vacation earned within the first year of employment and 6 observed Holidays.POSITION OVERVIEW

• Weigh and purchase inbound scrap, obtaining required information from customers for all transactions. Complete purchasing and shipping documents.
• Control traffic patterns in yard.
• Perform general office administration duties.
• Serve as a greeter and possibly other positions as needed.
• Willing to cross-train in other positions and assist other teammates as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service.
  • 3 years previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet critical deadlines.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities while providing a high level of support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have excellent customer service, written and verbal communications, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the willingness to go the extra mile learning the scrap metal recycling industry.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions, work independently and multitask.
  • Must have computer experience, including Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to learn in house systems.
  • Scrap knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
