DescriptionDICK’S Sporting Goods is building something new. A destination devoted to sports. A place where the community will gather and be inspired. This is an exciting role for our new store experience – we’re seeking a Golf Lead. This opportunity goes beyond anything retail has ever seen. Think about a role where you are creating the most innovative, customer obsessed experience – ever – in retail, and frankly in any customer focused industry. As a Golf Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the store management team with general supervision in the store in accordance with Company policies and procedures, including carrying keys to open and close the store, performing Front End and Cash Office functions, and processing firearms sales in compliance with State and Federal ATF regulations. Responsible for directing the workflow and overseeing the Company merchandise and signage programs in the Golf Department ensuring that Company standards are met. This includes providing excellent customer service, maintaining Company merchandising standards, and safeguarding Company assets as dictated by Company policies and procedures. Golf Lead Duties:

  • Assist manager with department scheduling, directing workflow, daily associate assignments, and monitoring project status. Also, help communicate information to department associates regarding Company initiatives, programs, promotions, etc.
  • Ensure that Company merchandising and presentation standards are met by following established floor sets, signing requirements, price changes, replenishment and recovery processes, in-stock, etc.
  • Engage in behaviors that are in line with the Company's customer service and selling program, thus providing all customers with an outstanding store experience.
  • Maintaining Company loss prevention standards and controls in the Department.
  • Assist with training associates on Company procedures and programs; this includes new associate training and cross training current associates.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management. All Teammates are required to adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Additionally, as business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary. QualificationsSuccess Profile:
  • Previous experience in golf.
  • 1-3years of retail sales, customer service or supervision experience.
  • Creates a culture that encourages a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Clear, constant and confident communication amongst teammates, athletes and management.
  • Continued commitment to DICK’S Sporting Goods standards and ensuring accountability amongst teammates.
  • Flexible availability – nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to deliver the best athlete experience to our customers. Building and maintaining strong relationships is key.
  • Enthusiasm and passion to interact and assist others with all their sporting goods needs.
