Refrigeration) applications. Innovation Hub Americas is in
Syracuse, which is the North American center for Carrier's product
design and development, as well as groundbreaking innovative
research. We ideate, design, verify and validate new products and
technologies across Carrier's global portfolio, supporting
Carrier's goal to be the global leader in intelligent climate and
energy solutions.
This staff research engineer will be part of the team working on
the development of novel energy management systems (EMS) in support
of Carrier's plan to develop the next generation of intelligent
energy solutions. Their focus will be on maturing early-stage
technologies as relevant to electrical and/or mechanical systems
that enable electrification and energy management. They would be
responsible for design, testing, and validation of these novel EMS
systems leading to technology maturation for product insertion.

multidisciplinary teams, SMEs and stakeholders to drive and
implement appropriate risk reduction methodologies.
- Design at-scale experimental setups for demonstrating
performance and risk mitigation while ensuring that the critical
characteristics and timelines are met.
- Validate multiscale model-based predictions through
experimentation and analysis.
- Develop technology value proposition by analyzing system
performance against KPIs such as load capacity, efficiency,
reliability etc. while meeting initial and operational cost
targets.
- Develop robust IP strategies to patent new technologies and
ensure our freedom to practice.
