Summary Description:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will work with clients to provide, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection designs including technical support as needed for projects. They will act as project manager on select assignments and be responsible for team coordination, client communication and the financial performance of the project. The ideal candidate will progress into a management role for the regional mechanical department
Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise for multi-discipline design projects including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection.
• Interact with clients providing technical expertise regarding design and cost
• Direct project team to meet goals while maintaining quality work
• Manage project schedule and performance
• Prepare detailed design documents, reports and studies,
• Complete code compliance research
• Proposal writing for business development
• Mentor and train engineers and designers Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • New York Professional Engineers License required
  • Demonstrated and thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Strong analytical and technical capabilities
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office
  • Good communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work
