Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a tech-savvy Help Desk Technician to be responsible for providing technical assistance with computer systems, mobile phones, tablets, hardware, and software. As a Help Desk Technician, you are responsible for responding to email, chat, or phone queries and offering technical support to customers using computer systems, mobile phones, tablets, hardware and software.To be a successful Help Desk Technician, you should be well-versed in all aspects of Windows, computer, and Android mobile phone configuration, set-up, and maintenance. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Essential FunctionsRespond to Help Desk tickets via phone, email, in-person, or through remote access.Monitor and manage IT tickets using a ticketing system.Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer/mobile device systems, hardware, and software.Provide training for computer and mobile device users.Write and edit training manuals.Configure computer/mobile devices.Other duties as needed, related to the IT Department.Qualifications and RequirementsAssociate's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience working in the IT industry supporting desktops, laptops and/or mobile devices.A+ Certification is preferred.Strong working knowledge of Windows computer systems, Android operating systems, computer hardware and software.Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-work skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.An openness to learning new technologies.Physical Demands / Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational skills of stooping, kneeling, walking, lifting, grasping, pulling and standing.Must be able to lift / move up to 25 lbs.The employee must be able to hear within normal range with corrected hearing in a minimum of one ear, and have corrected vision of 20/40 bilaterally.Must be able to sustain prolonged periods in seated position.Must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
