Job Description:

Overview Senior Business Systems Analyst (SBSA) works to help ensure and enhance the effectiveness of the KAI platforms--- primary enterprise resource planning (ERP) business system --- Microsoft Dynamics GP as well as integrated sub systems.-- SBSA will interact extensively with the user community to design and create process improvement opportunities in the business.-- SBSA will also manage integration projects to add features and enhancements to the ERP environment.-- SBSA will assist the user community with various computer-related tasks needed to help ensure the effective use of Dynamics GP.-- This includes work in the areas of system administration, data maintenance, processing, report generation, technical support, documentation, user procedures and user training.Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads, co-leads or participates with ERP conversions and/or integrations with other information systems including acquisitions/mergers, data conversion, and Gap analysis for internal branch migrations.
  • Identifies and leads projects to continually improve the business. Primary focus on ERP and business processes, with heavy involvement in Operations and Finance areas.-- Ensures proper training of ERP and related operational changes resulting from projects.
  • Evaluates employees--- requests for Dynamics GP system assistance and responds promptly and appropriately. Personally satisfies request when needed or initiates action from others.-- When applicable, trains proper system usage and/or initiates action to prevent future occurrences.
  • Manages Dynamics GP software administration and security to ensure effective operation, minimal downtime, secure access and data integrity. Also maintains proper documentation for compliance policies.
  • Generates ERP reports and coaches/assists with data analysis and resulting actions to progressively enhance end users--- decision making, productivity and Kaman Automation profitability.
  • Advises about and helps maintain various databases - such as accounting, customer, vendor, product codes, inventory, pricing, taxing, rebates, security, acquisitions, etc. --- to improve accuracy, organization and effective use of data, and to eliminate redundancy.
  • Maintains documentation of personal work, projects and other information systems areas not mentioned elsewhere.Additional Responsibilities:
  • Advises and assists employees with various business operational procedures and tasks, such as accounting, rebates, EDI, credit card, counter sales, data analysis, etc. Produces operational documentation to help standardize, train and execute proper work procedures.
  • Increases own and others--- overall knowledge in areas such as Dynamics GP system, reporting techniques, KAI databases, KAI computing procedures, KAI operational procedures, etc.Qualifications
  • Education/Experience --- Bachelor---s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience. 3 to 5 years of experience working with and supporting business Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computing systems.-- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP system preferred. Microsoft SQL scripting and querying desired.
  • Skills/Abilities/Knowledge - Highly proficient in the areas of business enterprise systems, data organization, information reporting, PC use, problem solving and phone support.-- Soundly proficient in the areas of project management, documentation and training.Attributes --- Works closely with KAI managers maintaining system database, providing reports, discussing procedures, etc. Works with all employees upon demand providing various information systems and data processing assistance.
  • Communication --- Fluent in English, verbally and written.
  • Travel --- 10% to 20% of work year.-- Valid driver---s license required.Attributes--
