Destination Monro! - Your career is here.Job DescriptionThe Senior Risk Analyst will play a key role in the Risk and Safety Management department executing Monro's overall enterprise risk management strategy, including inputting Liability claims with secondary backup functions and inputting Workers' Compensation claims. The Senior Risk Analyst will maintain strong relationships with Monro Inc. Team Members, Insurance representatives and third-party vendors, creating a positive environment conducive to the overall reduction of risk and insurance costs. The Senior Risk Analyst will understand and professionally communicate claims to the Risk Management and Monro Inc. leadership Team.Essential FunctionsAdministrative* Input claims following the guidelines of Monro Inc. claim programs* Develop and maintain filing systems and contact lists; create and generate reports; copy, bind, and scan as needed.* Enforce and execute the risk management policies/procedures (insurance, claims)* Knowledge of retail operations to recommend appropriate preventive safety policies, procedures and training to the Risk Management Leadership Team* Provide analysis and implementation of scheduled department reporting* Manage and investigate high dollar claims specified by Risk Management in partnership with the Liability Risk ManagerMaintenance, Development, and TrainingPartner with the Risk Management Leadership Team in the oversight of Monro's Risk Management policies and procedures such as:* Collaborate with other risk and safety Team Members within the field organization to contribute to and accomplish department results* Attend conferences and other trainings to stay current on risk, claims, and safety developments* Provide regular communication to the Risk Management Leadership Team on key areas of opportunity* Research opportunities to utilize IT Systems to automate the reporting and tracking of risk metrics* Perform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation and Experience:High School diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Business, Finance, HR, Risk Management, Communications or Criminal Justice preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of experience in liability claims, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge And Skills* Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner* Ability to type on average 60 words per minute* Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new and existing company specific software applications* Comfortable with communicating on the phone, instant messenger, and providing prompt responses to email requests* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and change focus quickly to meet business needs* Attentive to detail with a high degree of accuracy* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to professionally interact with all levels of staff and management* Demonstrated strong relational skills particularly in adverse or high-pressure situations* Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment; possess a results-oriented approach* Ability to take initiative in identifying problems, analyzing data, and establishing facts in order to produce prompt practical decisions and solutions* Must be able to guide & influence individuals without a direct report line through vision, mission, objectives and strategiesWork Environment & Physical RequirementsThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines.
