Job Description:
The successful candidate will work in a cooperative team environment with cross functional teams to specify, develop, and verify embedded Radio Communication Systems solutions in FPGA firmware. Candidate will be required to analyze requirements, architect, and design FPGA based processing solutions for radio communication systems.
Essential Functions:

• Ability to analyze system functions and develop processing architecture(s) based on current digital technology.
  
• Experience implementing complex interface, modem and/or DSP circuits in programmable logic using FPGA devices. Equivalent experience in ASIC design is also applicable.
  
• Broad experience in signal processing for RF communications systems.
  
• Perform detailed analysis including requirements analysis, use case scenarios, conceptual design, trade studies, test, operation, and maintenance of radio communications products.
  
• Work with cross functional teams as needed to define and refine design requirements.
  
• Assist in development of high-level and detailed verification test plans consistent with system requirements and specifications
  
• Prepare design and implementation reviews. Present technical briefings and status to internal and external customers.
  
  Basic Qualifications:
  
  
• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience.
  
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  
• 10 years of experience in ASIC/FPGA Design and Verification
  
  Preferred Additional Skills:
  
  
• Working knowledge and experience in testing and debugging of high speed interface and MODEM RF Designs
  
• Experience with FPGA Vendor Specific FPGA Implementation tools (Vivado/Quartus)
  
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and debug FPGA firmware and related hardware issues
  
• Ability and willingness to obtain a Secret security clearance
  
• Expertise implementing high speed interfaces and signal processing algorithms in FPGAs
  
• Expertise in FPGA development using VHDL or Verilog
  
• Expertise in FPGA Verification using SystemVerilog
  
• Expertise in communication system signal processing theory and waveform design
  
• Experience with adaptive signal processing algorithms and trades
  
• Experience with MatLab, Simulink or similar DSP modelling tools
  
• Ability to work efficiently with remotely located teams and co-workers
