**7502BR** **Position Title:** Financial Coordinator
**Organization:** NTID Deaf Health Care & Biomedical Science Hub
**Job Responsibilities:** The Deaf Hub Financial Administrator will
be responsible for high-level financial support for the
implementation, organization, and sustainability of tasks that
support the Deaf Hub. The position provides financial
administration of a large and complex portfolio of accounts,
including sponsored grants and contracts, subawards, gift accounts,
intramural funded projects, research center operating budgets,
special projects, F&A accounts, and other funding. Responsible
for developing and administering project and program spending plans
and processes through budget management, data analysis and
projections, monthly budget reconciliations, reporting, and record
retention. Responsible for management of all accounting and
personnel transactions, and providing financial and administrative
advisement to Deaf Hub faculty, staff, awardees, proponents,
recipients, contractors and project participants. Applies strong
internal controls for compliance with RIT/NTID policies and sponsor
regulations and terms and conditions of the award. Provides
financial services and performs in a lead role in the
administration and implementation of funded projects for the Deaf
Hub operating budgets, and other assigned accounts: + Develop plans
and programs for spending and management of all fiscal activities
in accordance with approved budget. Create budgets with effort
planning. Analyze budget data and prepare budget projections for
PIs. Meet regularly with PIs and at least quarterly with SPA rep to
review and provide guidance on budget status and progress toward
meeting project goals. + Responsible for maintaining budgets and
all aspects of finance pertaining to grants and projects. Perform
account reconciliation and process journal entries necessary to
accurately depict grant spending and appropriately budgeted
expenses. Monitor all project accounts and make adjustments as
necessary to resolve account deficits and/or issues. + Work
directly with PI's and provide guidance in collaboration with SPA,
to ensure funded projects and programs compliance with the terms
and conditions of specific sponsored programs and RIT/NTID research
policies and procedures, as well as attending to the Deaf Hub
researchers' needs. Manage an extensive portfolio of projects for
the PIs and the Deaf Hub. + Administer all financial transactions,
including but not limited to contracts, vendor setups, purchase
orders, human subject fees, travel expense reimbursements,
honoraria, equipment and supplies purchases, invoice payments,
stipend payments, tuition remission, payroll changes, journal
entries, and cost transfers. + Continuously serve on ad hoc teams
(e.g., website development, search committees) and on other various
Deaf Hub and college wide committees. + Periodically lead one or
more special projects or processes, which may include acting as the
department's liaison with PI's, senior administrators, or external
agencies. Provide other Deaf Hub departmental administrative
services: + Collaborate with international entities for processing
independent contractor contracts, travel, and wire transfers. +
Provide NTID Finance & Budget Office with monthly status reports of
spending. + Follow annual fiscal year-end closing procedures for
RIT (June 30) and NTID (September 30). + Attend Project Initiation
Meeting (PIM) for sponsored projects with PI, Sponsored Research
Services (SRS) and Sponsored Programs Accounting (SPA). +
Facilitate new account setups and fund transfers for intramural
projects. Coordinate the PIM with PIs. + Facilitate required
documentation for SPA, including effort report certifications,
participant payments, human subject fee disbursements, cost
transfers, journal entries, and project closeouts. + Maintain
essential grant and project files in accordance with sponsor
requirements and RIT's record retention policies. + Maintain
knowledge of and ability to interpret sponsor and institutional
policies in all areas of financial administration. + Apply strong
internal controls for compliance. + Assist SPA and PIs to prepare
for audits as requested. + Navigate multiple systems/applications
utilized across campus. + Participate in professional development
for annual renewal of Sponsored Programs Accounting & Regulatory
Certification (SPARC). + Attend project team meetings as requested.

Assistant with procurement card transactions, review budget
assignments, RIT/NTID policies/procedures and compliance issues.

equivalent experience in Business Administration, Accounting, Data
Processing or related field + 4+ years' experience with business
administration, project management, accounting and grants
