Payroll & Systems Specialist has overall responsibility for
management of Greenlights' HR Systems including payroll and benefit
administration. This role will have complete responsibility for
full cycle payroll processing, benefit administration and HR
reporting/system administration including our applicant tracking
system (ERP Management).Essential Job Functions:+ Weekly and
bi-weekly payroll processing, inclusive of managing wage increases,
payroll deductions, commission payouts and bonus processing,
inclusive of managing data flow and data integrity in general
ledger and payroll journals+ Monitor overtime usage, provide
reporting as needed and proactively identify trends or potential
areas for concern for the company+ Manage Time and Attendance for
company, monitoring trends, ensuring compliance with company policy
and working with management as needed to proactively identify
issues and work towards resolution as well as providing reporting.+
Maintain, update and personnel database regarding salaries, Benefit
Deductions, and Federal & State Taxes ensuring accuracy and data
integrity+ Track Employee usage of PFL, Disability and FMLA,
process required paperwork and function as point of contact between
carriers and employee, ensure company stays in compliance with
state and federal regulations+ Address and resolve employees'
questions regarding payroll, time and attendance and/or benefits,
investigating and resolving issues (wage garnishments, benefit
deductions, withholdings)+ Ensure compliance with state and federal
payroll regulations+ Function as subject matter expert on HRIS
system(s) (Paychex flex), manage system enhancements, proactively
drive HR processes online to streamline workflow processes
(payroll, time and attendance, 401k administration, applicant
tracking and benefit system)+ Work in partnership with Accounting &
Finance generating requested reports, interpreting data and
resolving accounting discrepancies as it relates to payroll related
data.+ Manage HR systems to continue to drive improvements in data
collection, reporting and ability to use that data to drive
decisions+ Maintain 401K systems and work in partnership w/ HR team
to ensure employee information is updated and current+ Support
audit initiatives by fulfilling data requests+ Manage employee
expenses from a compliance and processing standpointPosition
Requirements Required Skills & Experience:+ Associates degree
and/or related equivalent experience+ 3+ years' Experience
processing payroll working in a fast-paced environment+
Demonstrated knowledge of NY State Leave Laws+ Prior payroll
experience and/or foundation in accounting+ Ability to demonstrate
a strong sense of urgency to resolve problems+ Comfort level
working with large amounts of data / reporting experience
preferred+ Ability to thrive in a team environment+ Proven track
record of ability to implement new processes or improve existing
processes within an organization.+ Excellent verbal and written
communication skills+ Advanced Excel skills and comfortable using
other Microsoft products (word, PowerPoint) (experience / exposure
to power BI desirable)+ Physically able to work seated in front of
a computer for long hours+ Strong attention to
