Our EXCEL program is designed specifically for nursing students. Rochester Regional Health is dedicated to providing outstanding experiences to nursing students in the Rochester area. As an EXCEL Nurse Intern at -Rochester General Hospital, Unity Hospital, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, -Clifton Springs Hospital or United Memorial Medical Center, -you will work as a patient care technician, side by side with an experienced nurse, to put the skills, knowledge and lessons you've learned into practice.The internship provides nursing students with vital experience that will enhance the remainder of their college education and assist in their transition into the nursing profession. -The EXCEL Program Features:

  • United Memorial Medical CenterDEPARTMENT: VariousSCHEDULE: Based on preceptor's schedule and may include rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays - -ATTRIBUTES:
    • Enrollment in an accredited ASN or BSN program required
    • Completion of 2 clinical rotations preferred
    • Graduating December 2023 or May 2024RESPONSIBILITIES
      • Patient Care & Service. Provide direct patient care & indirect activities to facilitate unit functioning; provide safe and competent care for patients with relationship to nutrition, skin integrity, elimination & hygiene needs; take patient vital signs; ensure equipment and all facilities are clean and stocked with appropriate supplies
      • Admission & Transfer of Patients.
