Job Description:

The CFO is responsible for executing all directives to ensure that systems and procedures are in place for the efficient maintenance of FLACRA's accounting and financial management system. Applies principles of accounting and analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and profit and loss accounts, and prepares financial statements and other financial reports. The CFO leads finance operations to ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions. Responsible for carrying out the company's financial plans; its internal control systems and procedures; the maintenance of its fiscal records; and the preparation of financial reports. The following duties will apply: Duties 1. Oversee functions and personnel in the Finance, Billing and Medical Record departments. 2. Oversees all financial policies, accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. 3. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, budgets and safekeeping of all agency records. 4. Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for the agency, its officers, directors and employees. 5. Serves on the Executive Leadership Team to provide input and implementation of the organization's Strategic Plan and direction, departmental business work plans, and Business Continuity Plan. 6. Responsible for providing a positive work environment reflective of the organization's mission and values. 7. Oversee, develop and maintain Finance, Billing and Medical Record computer systems and applications. Finger Lakes Area Counseling and Recovery Agency, Inc. (FLACRA) 8. Prepare the agency budget as well as monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the Board of Directors, program management, State, Regional and County Administrators and various funding sources. 9. Develop and maintain statistical and performance reporting systems related to financial services and property. 10. Assure timely preparation of the claims for funding sources and third-party payors. 11. In coordination with the Executive Leadership, approve and monitor all agency purchasing and spending. 12. Coordinate the annual financial audit and develop internal audit procedures. 13. Assist in the preparation of grant and funding requests and follow up. 14. Act as a resource to agency programs and managers as it pertains to Administration and Financial assistance. 15. Develop and analyze the Financial and Administrative ramifications of agency program changes and/or new projects. 16. As a member of the Executive Team, attend agency board meetings, Executive Committee meetings and other management activities as directed. 17. Perform other duties and functions as directed.Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Proficient in Accounting software and management of large databases Excellent Communication Skills Excellent Customer Service Skills Ability to work as a team player and work independently B/S Degree in Accounting required Minimum 5 years' experience to include, supervisory, controllership or senior leadership capacity in a healthcare or non-profit setting required MBA or CPA certification (strongly preferred) Commitment to goals and philosophy of FLACRA NYS Driver's License required
