SUMMARYAs a Registered Nurse - Staff I Dialysis, your ability to maintain high departmental standards ensures the delivery of quality patient care, effective utilization of resources and efficient patient flow throughout the department.STATUS: Full TimeLOCATION: St Mary's CampusDEPARTMENT: DialysisSCHEDULE: 12 hour shiftsATTRIBUTES

• One (1) to three (3) years of experience in acute/critical care preferred
• Hemodialysis experience preferred
• Reads, writes and speaks English
• Computer skills requiredRESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safety Management. Utilize personal protection equipment and work practice controls to prevent/minimize occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials
  • Clinical Management. Perform a wide variety of clinical tasks including but not limited to: vital signs, FSBG, pulse oximetry, oxygen set up, venipunctures/phlebotomy, preparation of IV medications, administration of prescribed IV push and drip medications, set up, priming, testing and management of dialysis equipment; perform basic troubleshooting of dialysis machines
  • Patient Care. Administer medications to patients pre-treatment, intra-treatment and post-treatment based on knowledge and understanding of established principles and precautions; document all patient responses to medications administered according to policy
