Job Description Based here in Rochester, our company has been a leading producer of Carbon and Graphite solutions for various manufacturing processes for more than 50 years. We pride ourselves on being a family-owned business where we take care of our employees Besides the standard benefits of health insurance, PTO, and a 401k, we also provide life insurance, an onsite gym, summer cookout, and a holiday party We are in need of a skilled Saw Operator to join our team Shift: 2nd shift, 3pm to 11:30pm Pay:$37,000 to $40,000 --- Experience: 1-3 years saw operation. Basic blueprint reading. Ability to use and read a tape measure. Must also have a positive work history and an ability to work well with others. Purpose: Is responsible for producing cut-to-size pieces for customers--- orders through use of company-owned sawing equipment. This function includes staging of inventory and restocking of remnants generated in the cutting process. Responsibilities: Operating all company owned sawing equipment Cutting bar stock to specified length or squaring blanks to specification Documentation of inventory movement through the use of company computer system Documentation of inventory movement on hard copy work orders Ongoing preventative maintenance of sawing equipment Inventory control of saw related supplies i.e. blades, coolant, hydraulic fluids, etc. Regular participation in facilities maintenance with view toward safety and good housekeeping practices Skills and Abilities: Ability to bend and climb and lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16--- Ability to make simple decimal --- fraction conversions Basic blueprint . Basic computer skills. Ability to use/read micrometers and calipers. --- In order to be considered, please submit a detailed resume.
