We-- are looking for a 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM) Stamping Primary Cell Operator to join our team. This is direct hire position with full benefits.-- Responsibilities --- Set-up, troubleshooting and operation of primary manufacturing processes in the manufacturing cells including but not limited to: Screw machining, Multi-die cold forming, Progressive Die Presses, and Plastic injection molding. This includes assembling new tooling to machinery, sharpening tools, and making all necessary adjustments with assistance from a more experienced operator only when especially difficult set-up or troubleshooting conditions are encountered. --- Set-up, troubleshooting and operation of complex secondary manufacturing processes in the manufacturing cells including but not limited to: Chuckers, Reheading, Form Rolling, Thread / Knurl / Flat Rolling, and Swaging.This includes assembling new tooling to machinery, sharpening tools, and making all necessary adjustments with assistance from a more experienced operator only when especially difficult set-up or troubleshooting conditions are encountered. --- Check production schedule and run jobs to schedule date. --- Produce sample pieces and obtain First Piece approval before starting production run. Perform all SPC and other quality related tasks including the segregation of parts and the writing of MRR's. --- Perform verification runs and participate in experimental and pre-production runs. --- Notify supervisor or lead of tooling and material requirements and occasionally assist in ordering tools, materials and supplies while maintaining all appropriate tool packs, SMED packs, set-up sheets and layouts. --- Report all set-up, production and tool repair to operating system. --- Clean machines and perform scheduled maintenance and housekeeping as necessary. This includes pointing out and abating any potential safety violations or hazards. --- Train new operators. --- Complete all necessary training to refine skills or learn new skills as required, including other jobs in the cells. --- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications --- High School diploma or GED --- At least 2 years of experience in a level 5 manufacturing position or equivalent --- Willingness to work in a team environment --- Able to perform the job duties described above, as well as other jobs in the cells as required --- Intermediate skill levels with at least one of the primary manufacturing processes OR at least two of the secondary manufacturing processes noted above with at least intermediate skills in form rolling --- Able to work to very close tolerances (.0005") --- Knowledge of mechanical blueprints --- Able to use optical comparators, Venire calipers, micrometers and other required measuring instruments --- Good to excellent mechanical skills --- Able to lift up to 40 lbs/18 kgs1 Ability to learn SPC --- Familiar with or ability to learn the operating system --- Able to be flexible in work assignments within job description --- Quality conscious --- Safety conscious Benefits We Offer Our Employees:
