Kelly Engineering is currently recruiting for a (Direct Hire)
(Manufacturing Engineer) job located in Monroe, GA.
Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities:
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing
processes including production flow, assembly methods and
Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products
including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating
Create manning plans based on volume forecasts for new
Gives input to product design based on design for
manufacture/design for assembly philosophy.
Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies
various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality
improvement, and improved efficiency.
Develop and document quality system for new programs (control
plan, PFMEA, process flow, work instructions, and inspection
Coordinate and document all Advanced Product Quality Planning
Calculate required dunnage usage. Design, test and order all
necessary dunnage for new programs.
Develop and maintain documentation such as downtime, scrap, and
Utilize data such as downtime, scrap, efficiencies, etc. to plan
and strategize countermeasures for equipment and process
Leads or participates in Kaizen activities to ensure continuous
improvement in processes, products, components, raw materials, and
Qualified Applicants will possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with five (5)
years Engineering experience. Experience in automotive
manufacturing industry is preferred.
Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods
including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment.
Problem analysis and problem resolution.
Familiarity with current automotive standard and OSHA
Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some Access
