Job Description Job Description Description: What You’ll Do Deburr and finish machined components using files, sandpaper, grinders, or buffing wheels. Prepare parts by degreasing and sandblasting as required by specifications. Operate saws (automatic, band, or horizontal) to cut raw materials per operation sheets. Transport materials using hoists or tow motors and support inventory control and accuracy. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facility items as assigned. Complete daily utility checklist, janitorial tasks, and assist with facility upkeep. Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S principles. Follow all safety protocols and company compliance standards. Support multiple work centers and tasks as needed to keep production moving efficiently. Additional Information This position is on-site at our North Tonawanda, NY facility. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of our contracts and compliance with federal regulations. This is a full-time, hourly, union position. Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (overtime as needed). Pay: Starting at $21.33 per hour. High school diploma or GED required. 0–2 years of relevant work experience; manufacturing or deburring experience preferred. Ability to read and follow work orders and blueprints. Basic math and reading skills (addition, subtraction, counting, recording). Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Manual dexterity and ability to safely operate shop equipment. Dependability, flexibility, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to stand or walk for extended periods; sit as needed for machine operation. Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs. Frequent reaching, grasping, and handling of parts, tools, and equipment. Occasional climbing and balancing for facility upkeep tasks. Exposure to varying temperatures and conditions when working outdoors. Use of hand tools and shop machinery, including band saws and horizontal saws.
