Job Description Job Description Kamco Supply is looking for an experienced Branch Operations Manager for the Syracuse, NY Branch. This employee will have to have full understanding of dispatching and scheduling deliveries as well as manage a delivery team of employees and oversee all delivery equipment. Work location will be out of the Syracuse Branch location. Key Responsibilities Schedule and dispatch delivery crew in a safe and efficient manner while maximizing branch profitability. Responsible for efficient communication with all our delivery customers, branch warehouse staff and delivery staff. Uses and maintains DQ/ODT dispatch software to accurately portray our deliveries each day. Manages the material accuracy/verification process for each truck pre-delivery. Establishes, builds, and maintains customer relationships. Communicates effectively with customers, sales, and management regarding delivery statuses. Professional, courteous, and ongoing contact with customers before, during and after a sale Provide instruction to drivers in the event that a logistical or customer service issue should arise. Calls to confirm safe and accessible delivery location and which type of truck is required for delivery prior to being scheduled. Communicate any concerns or issues directly to Branch Manager Adheres to all company policies and procedures, DOT and OSHA standards. Assertive - demonstrated ability to "take charge" and be pro-active when necessary. Support our company values and mission statement Other duties may be assigned. Requirements: Previous management or assistant management experience Attention to detail. Be driven and motivated. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Attend construction related events, meetings and seminars pertaining to the scope of work. Experience in construction a plus. Building products knowledge strongly preferred Able to work 40 hours per week. Strong computer knowledge/data entry skills required. Strong organizational skills
