Job Description:
System Freight, Inc., a leader in direct-to-store deliveries and
fleet outsourcing services, is seeking a skilled CDL-A Driver to
enhance our transportation operations mainly in the Northeastern
United States. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment
to safe driving practices, ensuring the timely and secure delivery
of goods to our customers. This position requires an experienced
individual who is proficient in navigating local routes and dealing
with various delivery scenarios. Perform daily pre-trip and
post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
Operate a tractor-trailer or truck to safely transport goods to
clients in a timely manner. Adhere closely to route schedules,
communicate effectively with dispatch personnel, and follow all
transportation laws and regulations. Coordinate with the logistics
team to report any issues or delays, and also handle unforeseen
circumstances smoothly. Ensure all paperwork pertaining to cargo,
transportation and delivery is complete and accurate. Maintain a
clean and safe vehicle, and ensure adherence to all company and
legal obligations. Strong driving skills and familiarity with local
and regional roads. Excellent time management to meet delivery
schedules. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to
perform minor vehicle maintenance. Knowledge of transportation
safety regulations and procedures. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Valid Commercial Driver’s
License (CDL-A). Must have passed a DOT physical and drug screening
test.
