A Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) is responsible for delivering mail and packages to rural customers for the United States Postal Service. This role involves driving long distances on rural routes and ensuring timely and accurate delivery to all customers. RCAs play a vital role in maintaining reliable mail service and supporting the community's communication and connectivity needs. Deliver mail and packages to designated locations along a rural route. Sort mail in delivery sequence for assigned route. Collect outgoing mail and packages from customers. Ensure accurate and timely delivery to all addresses on the route. Maintain a safe driving record and adhere to all postal regulations and guidelines. Provide high-quality customer service and handle customer inquiries or issues with professionalism. Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good physical condition, as the job requires lifting and moving heavy packages. Proficiency in using navigational tools and devices.
