WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Manager - Telecommunications/Smart Grid for our Pittsford, New York office to be involved in projects with our Energy Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact

• Responsible for all aspects of the successful completion of assigned projects including:
  • Cost /Budgeting and Management
  • Communication Management
  • Engineering Lifecycle
  • Change Management
  • Schedule Management
  • Construction Management Oversight
  • Knowledgeable of Commissioning requirements
  • Risk Management
  • Regulatory and Stakeholder Management
  • Effective leadership in a matrix organization.
  • Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects- defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget
  • Managing Teams- facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
  • Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting project performance indicators
  • Some regional travel is anticipated.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Who You Are
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
    • Able to work in a self directed environment
    • 5+ years of relevant project management experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Competence in analytical techniques in tackling technical problems with some complexity
    • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
    • This position is subject to and contingent upon client approval of candidates put forth for consideration by WSP. Preferred Qualifications
      
      Technical knowledge of at least one of the following preferred:
      • AMI network management systems
      • Meter engineering, metering system operations and reporting
      • High-level network design
      • Physical security network concepts
      • Telecommunication circuit migration
      • Land mobile or cellular communication networks
      • Previous work experience in IT, operational telecom, network or systems engineering, or metering operations preferred. Compensation and Benefits

        Expected Salary: $78,300 - $157,000
