Ideal candidates will be located within New York State but out of state candidates will be considered.

This IT Project Manager will lead a team of Software Development and QA resources. These projects can range from enhancements to the current portfolio of software products to the development of new offerings. The projects will be managed using an Agile methodology. The successful candidate will have the experience, drive and passion necessary to lead the team in the development of software products, for world-wide availability.


Key Responsibilities of the IT Project Manager Job:

• Manage a small development team, ensuring that comprehensive functional plans and key deliverables are in place.
  
• Responsible for feature discussions, requirements assessments and scheduling needed for Project planning and development.
  
• Responsible and accountable for all aspects of the project delivery.
  
• Drives the appropriate rigor of the development process for the size and complexity of the program to ensure that commitments are well defined and met.
  
• Creates and manages the project schedule and uses it as a basis for communicating status to Product Owner and team members.
  
• Manages program risk at all levels and ensures effective contingency planning.
  
• Establishes the program schedule and successfully delivers within those parameters.
  
• Monitors the key program metrics and informs the Product Owner as soon as an "out of bounds" condition develops. Develops recommendations for dealing with the situation in a timely fashion.
  
• Delivers consistent, credible communication with Product Owner.
  
• Upon program completion, ensures a successful transition to operational and support teams for ongoing production, operations and support.
  
  
  
  
• Utilizes tools/resources to effectively manage the program (i.e. Microsoft Project, Scrum/Agile, Teams, Jira, Project Execution, tracking and reporting).
  
  
  
  
  Requirements of the IT Project Manager Job:
  
  
  
  
  
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, Project Management, or equivalent
  
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in Software product development
  
• Experience with functional Team Management across diverse disciplines
  
• Experience with Agile Methodology
  
• Experience developing products for World-Wide use
