Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or olderLocation: Rochester, NYAddress: 1500 Brooks AveJob Posting: 05/11/2022Job Posting End: 06/13/2022Job ID:R0126539As a Senior Database Administrator at Wegmans, you will partner closely with the project team to design and deploy database solutions, and ensure all databases are constantly monitored and supported to meet business needs. You will be responsible for achieving results surrounding installation, capacity planning, design, migrations, performance monitoring, security, recovery and backup.What will I do?

• Provide 24x7 hour support as part of an on-call rotation for critical systems; work with various support teams to provide prompt problem determination and resolution; train and mentor Database Administrators
• Troubleshoot issues and provide support to IT development; optimize application and database performance
• Perform recovery and backup of database servers, distributed server backup for single instances, and entire data center disaster recovery
• Install, configure, manage, support, upgrade and tune Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Liaison and coordinate support of external vendors; schedule and perform software patching for Exadata and ODA
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
• Collaborate with other technical services resources, IT development, IT operations, end users, vendors as well as other contracted resources to achieve resultsRequired Qualifications:
  • 3 or more years' experience with Database Administration for Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Experience with database security and regulatory compliance concepts and tools including auditing and encryption
  • Experience in the installation, configurations, and administration of applications at Wegmans
  • Experience with high availability concepts and softwarePreferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology
