Disaster Recovery Analyst Job in Rochester NY:
 
In this position, the Disaster Recovery Analyst will evaluate the current Disaster Recovery plan and strategy to help augment and improve it to ensure the most robust possible solution is in place.  This endeavor is focused on transition from an in region Disaster Recover solution to an out of region solution. This is great opportunity to work with a growing national organization.
 
A successful candidate will assist with incorporating automation into the process and will advise on site recovery.  It is expected that you will participate in the transition and upon completion; the client will have a well-documented plan and strategy to move forward with.  
 
Responsibilities of the Disaster Recovery Analyst:
 
Provide insights and guidance on the transition of an out of region Data Center.
Ensure the security and integrity of assigned electronic data, data systems, and data networks. Provides support in the development of emergency management and business recovery plans.
Draft procedures for identifying failures and establish contingency plans, creates response procedures, and identifies communication channels.
Share industry insights on best practices for disaster recover to an array of team members.
Review and develop business recovery strategies.
Make recommendations to the organization on enhancements and designs.
Work with the organization to ensure that quality documentation is in place.
 
Qualifications of the Disaster Recovery Analyst
 
Hands on experience with large data center moves and the implementation of Disaster Recover policies and procedures.
A willingness to teach and mentor team members on best practices for Disaster Recovery
Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery Testing.
