Job DescriptionAre you passionate about food and customer service? Do you have the skills necessary to prepare great food while training others in the kitchen?At The Arc Wayne, we are looking for you!!About the position:Our Food Service Cook/Trainer provides appropriate supervision and food service related training to participants assigned to the Food Service Program, and assist in the overall preparation, safe handling and proper storage of food required for in-house, catering and contract meals along with daily assigned duties. We prefer that you possess a High School Diploma or GED, and experience in food service is required; we will consider relevant experience in lieu of education; must be able to follow instructions, read and follow written recipes/menus, and maintain records (electronically and/or manually). You must have the ability to continuously stand/walk/bend, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and acceptable results of background checks including criminal history and background check.Work Schedule: Monday through Friday (6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., minus 1/2 hour unpaid lunch) Location: Key Industries, 150 Van Buren St., Newark, NY 14513About The Arc Wayne:At The Arc Wayne we have been serving the developmental and intellectual disabled community and their families in and around Wayne County for the last 55 years since we became an Agency in 1964.
