Job Description:

Vice President Of Human Resources & Facilities
Rochester, NY The mission of East House is to empower individuals with mental health and substance use disorders to recover and live healthy, fulfilling lives in their community. While many worthy organizations in the Greater Rochester area provide much-needed services to those with mental health and substance use disorders, East House differentiates itself by specializing in providing a continuum of housing options and support services for those in recovery. East House recognizes that those in recovery need a safe and stable place to call home, in addition to a supportive living environment to increase the chances of a lasting, long-term recovery experience when living with mental health or substance use disorders. Clients are directed to the appropriate level of supportive housing for their needs, from a group home environment with 24/7 staff support to independent living with easy access to support services provided by East House and other community organizations. At present, East House owns and manages six Community Residence homes ("group home" concept), four apartment buildings offering supported living, and also works with scattered site apartments throughout the city of Rochester that are owned by third-parties but offer integrated access to supportive recovery services. As clients advance in their recovery process, their housing and service needs change accordingly, and East House staff is there to support them on their entire journey. In addition to housing and supportive services, East House staff coordinate services between third-party providers and clients, working hard to minimize confusion and service gaps. East House staff provides services to assist clients with care coordination, wellness, financial, spiritual, socialization, and education and employment goals, all important building blocks to permanent recovery. East House was founded in 1966 and has its corporate offices located in the Monroe Square Building on Monroe Avenue in Rochester. The organization is established as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization and employs approximately 220 employees. THE OPPORTUNITY - shape the future of a mental health and substance use disorder organization in the Greater Rochester Area Leadership of East House is seeking an energetic, accountable Vice President of Human Resources and Facilities to drive effective people strategies to advance corporate goals and strategies. As a member of the organization's executive leadership team, the VP of Human Resources and Facilities will develop and execute human resource strategies to position East House as an employer of choice in the region. The right candidate will have experience with leveraging all tools available to expert human resource professionals - recruitment strategies, talent management, culture development, employee engagement, performance systems, leadership development, wellness efforts, training, and more to build a high-performing workforce, positioning the organization to deliver high-quality programs and services to the community. Many terrific organizations are seeking human resource talent in the Greater Rochester area. Why should you contribute your human resource leadership to East House instead of another organization? The answer is simple - relevance and impact. Every individual in our community knows at least one person; a friend, co-worker and/or family member who has experienced a mental health or addiction challenge. We are seeking a true Human Resource leader; someone who delights at the idea of moving our organization forward by leaps and bounds, someone who loves his/her craft and is full of energy and ideas to own and implement.
