Job DescriptionTitle: Staffing - Procurement Aide IILocation:
Corning, NYDuration: 3 monthsSchedule: 8a.m. - 5p.m., Monday
through FridayResponsible For The Following* Placing purchases
orders in PeopleSoft Supply Chain 8.9* Following up with vendors on
receipt of PO, updating due dates as necessary* Checking with
vendors on weekly basis for any changes to delivery dates, update
in system* Resolve invoice and/or billing problems* Work with
procurement manager to understand backorder trends, work with
vendors to expedite* Work with supply planning to understand
forecasts and adjust PO as need* Proactively look for potential
backorder or line fill shortages, address and/or bring to
attention* Engage with Strategic Sourcing Manager to provide
information about vendor delivery, issues, etc.* Initial travel may
be required for training with procurement expert* Needs to be able
to work independently, seek out opportunities and more work upon
mastery of current* Will be working in Corporate Headquarters,
needs to dress and act appropriately at all times* Experience
helpful, but will train motivated individuals* Needs to display an
adult work ethic at all timesEducation - 4 year degree required
(prefer Business or Supply Chain Degree)Experience - Preference is
for candidates with 1-3 years of experience or new graduates
demonstrating aptitude for the position
