This is a great chance to be part of a devoted team who takes pride in providing excellent service. We are seeking qualified and dedicated individuals to fill the Lifeguard Position! Job Summary: Under the general guidance and supervision of the Athletic Director and Aquatics Director, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of Members and their guests in all aspects of The Country Club of Rochester’s Aquatic Pool Facility, and its regular operations. Duties/Responsibilities: Maintains constant surveillance of Members and their guests in the Pool facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service. Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe pool facility. Prepares and maintains appropriate activity reports. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations Ability to enforce safety at the pool among both staff and members. Ability to be tactful, courteous, and diplomatic when dealing with members, guests and fellow employees. Ability to drive a car and or golf cart Ability to stand or walk for several hours during events and work long hours, if necessary. Education and Experience: Prior experience at a Golf Club or Country Club is preferred Must possess current American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications
