We are seeking qualified CDL-A Drivers based in Batavia, NY who are reliable, safety-conscious, and efficient to help us continue providing exceptional direct-to-store delivery services. This crucial role not only focuses on driving but also on maintaining positive interactions with our clients, ensuring all deliveries are conducted smoothly, effectively, and punctually. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to conduct deliveries to various stores across designated routes. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules compliant with dispatch instructions. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, and collect and verify delivery instructions from appropriate sources. Report defects, accidents, or violations and follow accident procedures. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Strong time management and customer service skills. Medical Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A). Must have a clean driving record. DOT medical card. Preferably with a T endorsement (double/triple trailers endorsement).
