Job Description:
Join the dedicated team at System Freight, Inc. as a CDL-A Local
Driver and play a crucial role in our specialized direct-to-store
delivery operations. Based in the dynamic Northeastern U.S. market,
our company thrives on providing exceptional transportation
solutions encompassing timely and efficient deliveries and
comprehensive fleet outsourcing services. This position is designed
for individuals who take pride in safety, timely delivery, and
professional service. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport
goods to various local destinations without overnight trips.
Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips and report any
issues or safety concerns. Maintain accurate logs of working hours
and vehicle service status in compliance with federal regulations
and company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatch and
operations personnel to ensure timely deliveries and efficient
route planning. Handle paperwork related to deliveries, such as
bills of lading and delivery receipts. Provide excellent customer
service during deliveries, representing System Freight, Inc.
professionally at all times. Ability to navigate efficiently with
strong geographical knowledge of the Northeastern United States.
Proficiency in electronic log systems like ELD. Strong
communication and interpersonal skills. Basic mechanical knowledge
to manage minor vehicle maintenance. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Valid Class A Commercial Driver's
License (CDL-A). Must have a clean driving record. DOT Medical
Certification.
