Job Title: MS RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Coronary Care experience required. Must have completed at least one successful traveler assignment. Previous hospital RN experience preferred. License: Current New York license required. Certifications: BLS required or must be obtained within three months of hire. Must-Have: Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Comfortable floating to Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care Unit. Possesses thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Ability to provide quality patient care. Ability to assess patient's needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual. Recognizes safety issues for self and others. Able to assess and implement safe patient lifting and movement techniques. Functions well in stressful situations. Possesses strong problem-solving skills. Demonstrates leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate. May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills required. Description: This position involves working 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
