Job Title: FLOAT RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, Pediatric Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of one successful traveler assignment; previous hospital RN experience preferred License: Active NY RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Coronary Care experience - Thorough knowledge of nursing principles - Ability to provide quality patient care - Ability to assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual - Recognize safety issues for self and others - Implement safe patient handling techniques - Function well in stressful situations - Good problem-solving skills - Strong leadership skills with prioritization and delegation abilities - Ability to assume charge nurse duties as required - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills Description: The FLOAT RN will be required to float between multiple units, including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric.
