ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/21/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for a 13-week contract • Every other weekend requirement • Must be available to work every other holiday if needed • Patient ratios: 1:5 for telemetry, 1:7 for medical surgical • Will be required to float within skillset • Dress code: Any combination of navy blue and white scrubs • EPIC charting experience required • Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not compact) • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS • Must have 1 year of experience • Candidates within 75 miles of facility are not accepted • Clinical skills required: IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care/management, cardiac monitoring & emergency response, interpretation & management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team use, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac • Experience in Med Surg/Telemetry settings required • Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total, 5 hours billable) • First-time travelers accepted • All scheduling requests must be included with submission Facility: This is a 528-bed acute care teaching facility that is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center. The facility is affiliated with major healthcare networks and offers specialized services through multiple institutes including heart, cancer, neuroscience, pediatric emergency, and birthing centers. The 26-bed unit specializes in care of patients post PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post MI, and cardiac pharmacologic interventions, providing advanced surgical programs including vascular, thoracic, and surgical oncology.
