Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work in Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with 27-bed capacity • Day/Evening patient ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7), Night ratios are 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8-10 if staff calls in) • Every other weekend required • Block scheduling preferred but not guaranteed • Float required to MS, ED, ICU (stable patients), and acute brain injury (stable patients) • 1 year of recent experience required • First time travelers accepted • Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS • MS/Tele experience required • EPIC charting system experience is a hard requirement • NY license required in hand to submit • Must have mandatory competency with phlebotomy and IV placement • Required skills: Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response Teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions • Work with patient diagnoses including cardiac disease, stroke, infection, pain, and PE • Use special equipment: bladder scanners, telemetry, EKG machines, lifepacks • Navy blue/white scrubs required • Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted • Cannot submit candidates with more than 10 days RTO • Modules are billable up to 5 hours and completed pre-start Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive medical surgical telemetry unit with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
