Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Step into the PACU as a
Registered Nurse in Rochester, New York, where every recovery
moment is a chance to restore confidence, comfort, and hope for
patients and families. In this role, you will guide individuals
from the tail end of anesthesia to stable, oriented, and safe
discharge, coordinating with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and
post-acute care colleagues. This assignment begins on 03/16/2026
and unfolds over several weeks, with competitive weekly pay ranging
from $2,225 to $2,288. While guaranteed hours are not specified,
you will be supported by a robust scheduling framework designed to
maximize clinical impact and professional satisfaction. As you
bring your expertise to this fast-paced perioperative environment,
you’ll join a culture that respects your voice, your
patient-centered approach, and your commitment to safety and
excellence. Separately, the state of New York offers a tapestry of
beauty—from the pearls of the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario’s
shoreline to the vibrant arts and culinary scenes of Rochester and
beyond. Rochester combines urban amenities with a welcoming
community feel. You’ll work within a network of modern operating
rooms, recovery suites, and postoperative monitoring areas that use
advanced technology to track vitals, pain control, and early
mobility. The city offers affordable living, a rich cultural
calendar, and easy access to outdoor escapes, from scenic
shorelines to hillside trails. For clinicians seeking broader
horizons, the program also offers potential opportunities to
practice across various locations in the United States, expanding
your professional exposure, education, and adaptability. Role
specifics extend to guiding post-anesthesia care with vigilance and
compassion. The PACU RN will perform continuous assessments of
airway, breathing, circulation; monitor heart rhythm, oxygenation,
and pain levels; manage nausea and agitation; coordinate with
anesthesia, surgeons, and postoperative units to determine
readiness for transfer; ensure safe handoffs with clear
documentation; and contribute to comprehensive postoperative
recovery plans, discharge education, and family communications.
You’ll have opportunities for advancement within the specialty,
including leadership tracks, preceptorship roles, and participation
in quality improvement initiatives. Benefits include a competitive
compensation package, potential signing bonus, housing assistance
when needed, and extensions that allow you to deepen your expertise
in PACU care. You’ll also have access to comprehensive support,
including 24/7 assistance from the traveling team, on-call
resources, and dedicated clinical liaisons who help with
credentialing, shift changes, and problem solving. Our company is
devoted to empowering clinicians—providing the resources,
mentorship, and environment you need to grow. We champion ongoing
education, collaborative teamwork, and a culture that values
work-life balance, high clinical standards, and your professional
voice. The mission is clear: help you advance in your career while
delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care in every
setting. You’ll find a collaborative network that celebrates
patient outcomes, supports your professional development, and
prioritizes your well-being as you navigate diverse assignments
across the country. Ready to elevate your PACU nursing journey?
