Job Description Job Description Certified OR Tech / Surgical Technologist (CST) – Travel Contract Location: Rochester, NY 14621 Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Pay Rate: $38–$41/hour Shift & Schedule Shift Type: Day Shift Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts Hours: 36 hours/week Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will support surgeons and the perioperative team during a wide range of surgical procedures, ensuring a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment for both adult and pediatric patients. The facility features 23 operating rooms and 1 procedure room , supporting both elective and emergency cases across multiple surgical specialties. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with required instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field Ensure proper handling, care, and accountability of surgical instruments and supplies Anticipate surgical team needs and respond promptly during procedures Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and hospital protocols Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff Support both adult and pediatric surgical cases Requirements Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) NBSTSA Certification required Exception: Certification not required if the candidate worked as a Surgical Tech in New York State prior to 2015 Recent operating room experience required Experience with both elective and emergency procedures preferred Traveler Eligibility Travel position only (local candidates not accepted) Must reside 50–75 miles from the facility (per facility guidelines) First-time travelers welcome For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
