Down / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM –
7:00 AM) Location: Rochester, NY Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks Pay
Rate: $48 – $54 per hour Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is
seeking an experienced Step Down / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Registered Nurse to provide intermediate-level care to adult and
geriatric patients requiring close monitoring following critical
illness, surgery, or complex medical conditions. This role is ideal
for a clinically strong RN who thrives in a fast-paced environment
and is skilled in cardiac monitoring and acute patient management.
Documentation is completed using EPIC , and collaboration with
multidisciplinary teams is essential to ensure optimal patient
outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care
to Step Down/PCU patients Monitor, interpret, and respond to
cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias Manage telemetry monitoring and
initiate emergency responses (Rapid Response / Code situations)
Administer oxygen therapy and provide non-invasive airway support
Manage non-titrating cardiac drips and administer blood products
Perform central and peripheral line care, including IV therapy
Adhere to isolation precautions and infection control protocols
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and
outcomes in EPIC Float to other units within scope of practice and
competency, as needed Collaborate with physicians and
interdisciplinary care teams to implement patient care plans
Required Licenses & Certifications Active New York State RN License
