Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a NY RN license and Epic charting experience. Responsibilities - Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a tertiary care hospital setting - Patient caseload includes CHF, acute MI, post-device care, arrhythmia, general surgery, colorectal, ostomy, plastic, cosmetic, and breast procedure patients - Unit sizes: 26-bed and 51-bed units, high volume environment - Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00), with every other weekend required - Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7 for Med/Surg - Floating to other units is required - Uses Epic EMR; experience with Epic is required - Care for a diverse patient population requiring both med/surg and telemetry care - Scrub attire must be navy and white, any combination acceptable - Floating to similar units is expected and required during the assignment - First time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand is required - Current BLS certification is required - Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience - Epic EMR experience required - Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-668735.
