Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/03/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced MS/Tele RN with a current NY license, EPIC proficiency, and chemo certification for a high-acuity day/night rotating position. Responsibilities - Work in a combined Medical-Surgical/Telemetry and Hematology-Oncology setting within a tertiary care hospital - Care for patients post-PCI, with pacemakers, AICDs, post-MI, cardiac medication needs, as well as hematology/oncology and bone marrow transplant populations - Patient ratios range from 1:5 to 1:7 on a 26-bed MedSurg/Tele floor - 36-bed Hematology/Oncology unit treating patients undergoing chemotherapy, with side effects, or with underlying malignancies - Opportunity to cross-train in MICU with the new bone marrow transplant program - Uses Epic EMR; proficiency required - 12-hour day and night shifts (4x12 D/N rotation) with every other weekend required - Floating between units is required - Serve diverse acute patient populations with cardiac, oncology, and post-procedural needs - Team-oriented, collaborative, and supportive unit culture - First time travelers are accepted for this position - Scrub colors are navy and white, in any combination - Pre-start modules must be completed prior to assignment start - Return staff must have at least one year since previous assignment - Holiday coverage is assigned according to unit needs Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand is required for consideration - ACLS, BLS, and Chemo Certification required - Minimum one year of relevant RN experience - Proficiency with Epic EMR is required - Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-664360.
