Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position caring for cardiac patients at a tertiary care hospital, with a current NY RN license required. Responsibilities - Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a tertiary care hospital - Patient population includes post-PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post-MI, and those receiving cardiac pharmacological interventions - 26-bed unit with a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio - Day/night rotating schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:00 / 19:00-7:00) - Weekend requirement is every other weekend - Uses Epic EMR with experience preferred - Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and non-invasive airway management - Requires familiarity with rapid response and code team protocols - Must follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols - Scrub attire must be any combination of navy and white - First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand required - Minimum of 1 year RN experience in Med/Surg Telemetry - BLS certification required - Ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias - Epic EMR experience preferred - Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered a traveler Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-661037.
