ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ER Job Details: • Work day/night rotation shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • 8-week contract length • Every other weekend requirement • Must be available to work every other holiday if needed • Patient ratio of 1:5 with adults and geriatrics • All emergency type diagnoses and patient care • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC • Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not Compact) • EPIC charting experience required • Minimum 1 year of experience required • Floating within skillset required • Scrub color: Any combination of navy blue and white • 24-hour orientation provided • Clinical skills required: IV therapy, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, emergency care for adults and pediatrics, stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, isolation precautions, and triage • Special equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment • Pre-start modules required (up to 10 hours total) • RNs within 75 miles of facility not accepted Facility: This 528-bed acute care teaching facility features a state-of-the-art emergency department with a centralized layout designed for rapid patient care and advanced diagnostic technology. The facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center, offering specialized services with affiliations to major healthcare networks. The emergency department includes a dedicated pediatric ED, crisis intervention unit, and trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients.
