Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/17/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse with MS/Tele experience and an active NY RN license for a day shift position requiring Epic proficiency and advanced cardiac care skills. Responsibilities - Work in a 26-bed MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting - Patient population includes post-PCI, pacemaker, AICD, post-MI, and cardiac pharmacologic intervention cases - Patient ratios are 1:5 for telemetry and 1:7 for med-surg - Day shifts are 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required - Use Epic for electronic charting; Epic experience required - Floating may be required within skillset as needed - Responsibilities include providing advanced care to patients with complex cardiac conditions - Team members may be required to float within their skillset to other units as needed - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Navy blue and white scrubs are required - Must be available to work assigned holidays and every other weekend - Return staff must have at least 1 year since previous employment at this facility Requirements - Active NY State Single State RN license required prior to consideration - Current ACLS and BLS certifications required - Minimum of 1 year recent MS/Tele RN experience required - Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, peripheral line care, and cardiac monitoring - Experience with oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, wound care, and emergency response - Must have recent experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and participating in rapid response/code teams - Epic charting experience required - No applicants living within 75 miles of the facility will be considered Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-665432.
