ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/24/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 4x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM for 13 weeks • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Holiday availability: must be available to work every other holiday if needed • Patient ratios: 1:4-5 for adults and geriatrics • Required to float within skillset to ICU and/or medical surgical units • Must have 1 year of experience and previous travel experience • Active New York Single State RN license required (NY is not compact state) • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • EPIC charting experience required • Provide telemetry and stepdown-level care (PCU/DOU/IMC) • Perform cardiac monitoring and emergency response • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias • Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams • Administer oxygen therapy and manage non-invasive airways • Manage cardiac drips without titration and blood product administration • Provide central line and peripheral line care/management • Perform IV therapy/phlebotomy and isolation precautions • Care for patients with long term pulmonary conditions, ENT surgery, and surgical procedures requiring stepdown level care • Dress code: any combination of navy blue and white scrubs • 16 hours of orientation provided • Up to 5 billable hours for pre-start modules Facility: This 528-bed acute care teaching facility is Magnet-recognized and certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center.
