Openings: 1 Unit: 2300 MS/Tele (20 beds) Requirements - Experience: 1 year recent MS/Tele - First-time travelers accepted - Certs: BLS required | NIHSS preferred - Charting: Epic (preferred) - Floating: Required (see note below) - Block scheduling: Not available - RTO: Not specified (expect standard Unity limits) - Travel experience: Not required Patient Population - Adults & Geriatrics - Primary diagnoses: - Cardiac - Stroke Ratios & Staffing - Days/Eves: 5:1 (may stretch to 6–7) - Nights: 6–7:1 (may stretch to 8–10 if staffing calls out) Support services include: - IV team - Respiratory therapy - Phlebotomy - Rapid Response Team - PT, pharmacy, radiology, transport - Unit secretary Required Skills - Telemetry monitoring - Interpretation & management of dysrhythmias - Rapid Response / Code Team activation - Peripheral IV care & management - Oxygen therapy: - Nasal cannula - Oxygen tanks - Non-invasive airway management - Isolation precautions / PPE Equipment - Hoyer lifts Scrubs - (Not specified – typically navy/white at Unity) IMPORTANT FLOATING DISCLOSURE All travelers are required to float and may float to: - Medical-Surgical - ICU - Emergency Department This is the biggest risk item in this posting.
